It would seem that even the most fashion conscious of celebs can have an off day.
The stylists of these dreadfully dressed divas were obviously not around when they stepped out of the front door.
If they had they surely would have uttered that immortal line: "You're not going out like that!"
When left unattended there's no end of fashion faux pas a star can commit when looking for a 'stand out from the crowd' outfit.
But then looking fabulous 24/7 is something not even the most dedicated of A-listers can achieve.
And navigating the tricky minefield of fashion can be tricky at the best of times and pure style suicide at the worst.
Your 'unusual' outfit can just as easily be feted on every best dressed list as see you plunging to the bottom of the reject pile.
All of which goes to show that not even the hottest stars are immune to the odd fashion disaster.

Rihanna seemed to have forgotten to put any trousers on when she performed for the 'Good Morning America' concert series in Times Square in New York today. The Barbadian singer took to the stage wearing a black top, large white blazer and flesh coloured fishnet tights. In fact it would seem that the outfit was a last minute decision following a wardrobe malfunction. Rihanna told host Robin Roberts that she had been intending to wear something else entirely different. However, she joked: "I guess I'm a little too fat right now ... the zip [on her dress] busted. They wanted to stitch it up but I couldn't". During the performance the pop star sang two songs from her new album 'Rated R', 'Wait Your Turn' and 'Russian Roulette'. She also sang a fan favourite - her smash hit 'Umbrella'.

Lulu Guinness showed off the quirky fashion sense that has helped make her famous at a star-studded party last night. A host of guests descended on the Victoria and Albert Museum in London to help the designer celebrate her 20 years in the business. Lulu managed to make sure all eyes were on her by donning an eccentric pink dress decorated with two eyes. When posing for pictures she then carefully placed her unusual lip shaped bag in order to form a face. And it was a family affair with the designer's two daughters, Maddy, 17 and Tara, 12, both showing off their lip bags too. The likes of Katy Perry, Jasmine Guinness, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jo Wood and Jade Parfitt were all also on hand to help Lulu celebrate her 20 year milestone.

On the pink carpet in front of the club Hilton, real name Mario Lavandeira, said he wasn't pleased about turning 31 but bragged that the first gift he received was from "High School Musical" heartthrob Zac Efron. The gossip king also received a signed guitar from the Jonas Brothers and was treated to a version of Marilyn Monroe's sultry birthday serenade to President John F. Kennedy by Christina Aguilera, who donned a leopard-print leotard, fishnets and knee-high boots for the occasion.

Madonna stepped back in time last night to reclaim her title as Queen if the 1980s.
She was at the New York Kabbalah centre for a fancy dress party celebrating the Jewish holiday of Purim.
And she looked like she had merged her own look of yesteryear with something her daughter Lourdes might wear out for a school disco.
Combining a long black wig with red-framed sunglasses, fishnet tights, Converse All-Star high-top sneakers with mismatched laces, pleated grey mini-skirt, white blouse, grey waistcoat and tie, the Material Girl also donned those iconic 80s fashion items, monochrome striped arm warmers, to look like she'd just come straight off the set of a John Hughes movie.
To crown it all with a knowing fashion gesture, she even sported a signet ring with a smiley face, the quintessential 1980s logo currently back in vogue thanks to the current retro superhero blockbuster film, 'Watchmen'.

The cream of the fashion and entertainment worlds gathered at Big Sky London last night for the 'Oscar's of the fashion world' - the Elle Style Awards in association with H&M. At the awards, Slumdog Millionaire picked up Film of the Year. Its star Freida Pinto was named Best Actress, while Mickey Rourke scooped Best Actor. Courtney Love was named Woman of the Year and Sienna Miller landed the Elle Style Icon gong for her "unique, fashion forward style". In the TV categories, Alexa Chung won Best TV, while 'Gavin And Stacey' was awarded Best TV Series. Best Music went to Kings Of Leon, who accepted the award via video-link. Christopher Kane took the prize for British Designer and the H&M Style Visionary Award went to Viktor & Rolf. The evening's Outstanding Achievement Award was awarded to milliner Stephen Jones.

It was a star-studded musical celebration last night at Madison Square Gardens for z100's Jingle Ball. Just some of the stars braving the cold to hit the red carpet event were Rihanna, Kanye West, Katy Perry and Leona Lewis. The event, held by the popular New York radio station z100, was hosted by Ashley Tisdale and Nick Lachey. Also taking to the stage were the likes of Ne-Yo, David Archuleta, Jesse McCartney and Lady GaGa. Rihanna, wearing a black, leather mini dress, and boyfriend Chris Brown stole the show by performing a raunchy duet together. Meanwhile, Katy Perry got firmly in the Christmas mood by donning a sexy Mrs Claus outfit.
