'Beakie' the Blue Tit who has an unusually long, over-grown beak, Hampshire, Britain - 03 Mar 2012

'Beakie' The Blue Tit Has A Nose For Fame
They say that size doesn't matter but when it comes to this Blue Tit that may not be the case.
'Beakie', as he has been christened, has been attracting lots of attention thanks to his amazing over-grown beak.
The unusual bird was first spotted at Mottisfont House, near Romsey in Hampshire at the beginning of winter.
He is now a daily visitor to the bird table outside reception at the National Trust property.
Supervisor Andy Southam said: ''People come from all over just to see Beakie and he seems to be doing very well.
"We have over 28 different species visit our feeders but Beakie is definitely the main attraction".
It is believed that 'Beakie's' beak is actually still growing.
As such he will be monitored to ensure that it is not affecting his ability to preen and feed.
