A photographer has captured a series of aerial images of the moment Kilauea Volcano, Hawaii, erupts and the lava flow meets the ocean.
Photographer Charles Wood, 73, captured the images from a helicopter on Sunday 7th August, at sunset.
In the stunning pictures, aerial images show where the lava flow from the Kilauea caldera reaches the ocean shoreline several miles away.
