Sydney's Kakigori Kaiji takes its kakigori so seriously, it only uses ice made from mountain waters from Kanazawa for its specialty dessert. But is it any different from regular frozen water?

Kakigori Kaiji in Sydney is only a few weeks old but it's already popular.

A cooling summer ice cream is set to cut cuts — shaped like a life-sized ninja warrior’s sword.

It measures  45 centimetres long and has been created by a ninja-themed cafe in Japan.

The company, Ninja Cafe Takayama in Gifu Prefecture, says the country’s Summers can be brutally hot, the sword is a hand weapon to have in the arsenal.

The edible sword, made from a special ice cream which does not easily melt,  is called  Ninjato — the Japanese word for a real ninja sword.

It  is billed as the country’s longest ice cream.

Real Ninjato swords differ from samurai swords in that they’re single-edged instead of double-edged, and considerably shorter.

A Ninjato is around 40 cm long while a Samurai is nearer 70 cm.
