A tatty set of seats made for the first Corvette sports car ever built have gone on sale – with a $90,000 USD price tag.Much of the faded red fabric is ripped and the foam cushions have begun to break-up.The historical pieces of motoring memorabilia up for grabs on eBay is the USA.According to seller, motor specialist ncrstopflight, the 68-year-old seats were used in the EX-1952 styling project by America’s GM motors. The EX-52 was originally to be called Cougar. But it became the first Corvette when it debuted in 1953 at GM’s own car show called Motorarama in January of that yearLater in the year it underwent a makeover. The changes to the trim and interior fittings included the removal of the prototype seat cushions and fixed fiberglass bucket seats now being sold. They were replaced with significantly re-proportioned production seat cushions and metal floor tracks. Most of the parts removed went back to the manufacturer for durability and fatigue analysis. The sale is for the driver and front passenger seats

A team of designers and modellers have made a working Lexus IS Saloon built entirely from cardboard.

The 'Origami Car' is crafted from 1,700 fully recyclable laser-cut cardboard sheets and took three months to build. The car was built in Vauxhall, London.

A five strong team of professional designers and modellers from LaserCut Works and Scales and Models built the IS Saloon by hand. Using cardboard supplied by manufacturers, DS Smith, each layer of cardboard was given its own reference number to help ensure it was assembled in the right sequence. A water based/wood glue was used to stick the cardboard together.
