    NEWS - Mai 68: Frankreich
Sorbonne, Paris, FRANCE - 11/06/1968. --- Student riots. Armed "Katangais" led by "Jakie le Katangais" seen inside the Sorbonne. Named after mercenaries from Katanga (Congo) they were paid by the Occupation Committee of the Sorbonne to act as police for the students. A poster of Castro adorns the wall as did many leftist posters all over the Sorbonne and in the Latin Quarter. The students later expelled the Katangais from the University. I was the only photographer who took pictures of the Katangais inside the occupied Sorbonne. Sorbonne, Paris, FRANCE - 11/06/1968.
