Juliane Diller (Koepcke) was 17 when the aircraft she and her mother were on exploded. Of the 92 people on board, Juliane was the only survivor -and it would take her 11 days to walk to safety.
Juliane Diller (Koepcke) at her home close to Munich. Juliane is a biologist and in 1971, 17 years old, she survived a plane crash and nine days on her own in the Peruvian rain forest.
