A self-published author from Northampton is being hailed as the new E.L James after her erotic novels have taken Britain and America by storm.
Jodi Ellen Malpas, 33, originally published her 'This Man' series as ebooks.
However, thanks to their success - selling around 250,000 ebooks - she has now secured a six figure book deal and her racy novels will shortly be published as 'proper' paperbacks.
The mother of two's third book even reached the top of the New York Times ebook fiction bestseller list.
Jodi's books are proving to be so popular that she has been likened to E.L. James and her Fifty Shades Of Grey series.
The 'This Man' series centres around main character Jesse Ward who runs a sex hotel called The Manor and embarks on a love affair with interior designer Ava O'Shea.
According to Jodi she left school at 17 and, until earlier this year, was working as a health-and-safety officer for her father's paving slab firm.
She has been married to her husband - who hasn't read any of the books - for 11 years and is mum to 13 and 9-year-old sons.
