April 5, 2018 - Stockholm, Sweden: Caroline Fagerlind, Museum Director, ABBA The Museum at ABBA the Museum in Stockholm, Sweden, that commemorates the phenomenally popular Swedish pop group. She is here demonstrating a new interactive feature that will allow fans to conduct the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra as it plays the score from the Broadway play Chess, written by ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Anderson. Since the museum opened in 2013 nearly 1.5 million visitors have walked through its doors. The museum has expanded numerous times withe the addition of a hotel, a gift shop and restaurant and today the museum announced it is expanding yet more with new interactive exhibits highlighting what the band members have done since ABBA split up nearly 40 years ago. These focus on band members various solo projects including the Broadway play Chess written by Anderson and Ulvaeus, the play and movie Mamma Mia. Meanwhile, even though ABBA hasn't released a song in 36 years they are still among the world's top selling pop groups. The Gold Greatest Hits collection sold an eye-watering 29 million copies.
