    BIONIC TOAD
BIONIC TOAD - A vet at Tiggywinkles wildlife hospital in Buckingham has conducted one of his smallest operations fixing a fractured humerus bone on a toad. The toad was discovered in a back garden with a broken left arm by a member of the public. The hospitals vet Steve Smith, managed to repair the break with a tiny VetKISS locking plate and four 1mm screws in an operation that took over an hour. The post-operative radiograph showed the operation was a huge success. The toad will remain with Tiggywinkles for the duration of his recovery where staff can monitor the arm to ensure it is healing well before he can then be released back into the wild, along with his bionic new arm. Round-the-world sailor Alex Thomson: 'I think the French are worried about us'
Round the World Yachtsman Alex Thomson onboard the 2019 Hugo Boss, Foiling IMOCA 60, built for the Vendee Globe Race. The round-the-world sailor is confident he can win the sport’s toughest race, the Vendée Globe, in his £5.5m boat.
Thomson has a new toy, and, judging by his Cheshire Cat grin, he likes it a lot. It is the latest in a line of boats called Hugo Boss, after the principal sponsor, and the one he hopes will finally deliver the prize he so craves.
The Vendee Globe is a single-handed non-stop yacht race around the world without assistance. The race was founded by Philippe Jeantot in 1989, and since 1992 has taken place every four years. It is named after the Departement of Vendee, in France, where the race starts and ends.

Stilt fishing is a method of fishing unique to the island country of Sri Lanka. These days, it is as much a show for visitors as it is a viable source of income, and many fishermen still venture out, as the goodwill contributions of tourists does help support the local economy.
