Japanese motorcycle maker Kawasaki has unveiled a new concept model — in the shape of a horse-like robot.
It has four legs and is envisioned by the company as an all-terrain form of transport for exploring the great outdoors.
Called the Corleo, it is a two-seater aimed at being capable of picking its way through rough terrain thanks to AI vision.
Kawasaki says the robot would run on a non-emission hydrogen-fuelled 150CC engine.
It has been created by a team at parent company Kawasaki Heavy Industries
Its feet or "hooves" have grippy rubber treads and have adjustable stirrups for a wide range of riders who guide it using a handlebar set up which also includes a digital display with GPS.
The rear leg unit can swing up and down independently from the front leg unit, allowing it to absorb shocks during walking and running.
When climbing steps, the rider can maintain a posture that avoids looking upwards and makes it easier to check the road conditions ahead.
Each of the legs is equipped with hooves featuring a left-right divided structure made of rubber, a material that absorbs surface irregularities and is slip-resistant.

Here’s a piece of luggage to give travellers a lift when the pandemic lock-down is over. It’s a high-tech ride on three-wheeler luggage called the Rydebot made using aviation grade aluminium frame.A touch of a button transforms this luggage into a smart, scooter suitcase powered by a removable lithium battery. A full battery charge is enough to power the suitcase for up to 12 miles. The makers also claim it is water and scratch resistance,There is also a hidden towing handle which pops up when riding in it is not suitable. You can turn on the switch to extend the front wheel and extend that handlebar, next, you can sit on Rydebot and cruise around in styleThe Rydebot comes in two sizes. The smallest version is the Puledro , designed to fit into airplane overhead compartment. The Rydebot Cavallo is larger and needs to go into the hold.

MAN TRIMS HEDGE - WITH RIDE-ON LAWNMOWER
Forget struggling with pruning shears, one mysterious gardener has gotten to the root of the problem of trimming tricky hedges - by using a ride-on lawnmower.
The man was spotted being hoisted by crane onto the two metre-high privet at a house in Cambridge, New Zealand.
And passerby Bart Dinger managed to snap some pictures of the perilous pruning manoeuvre.
