Supercar builder McLaren has unveiled a new eco-friendly model – aimed at children.It is a ride-on version of the company’s multiple award-winning £208,600 GBP / €233,140 Euros McLaren 720S which can hit a top speed of 211 mph / 340 k/mh and has a 0-62 mph acceleration time of just under three seconds.The child-version aimed at three to six year olds, is powered by an electric motor operated by a working accelerator pedal with added engine sounds .The motor operates with a key, but it can also be controlled by remote control to provide a degree of automotive autonomy, as well as parental control. It has functioning dihedral doors combined with exposed carbon-style elements and signature 720S styling cues.A brake function , with brake light , and a dashboard display screen gives key information to the child at the wheel..The screen also houses the infotainment system, with buttons for different functions on the dashboard. When not whizzing around the nursery, the youngest of all McLaren drivers can take time out to listen to music or watch a short movie by plugging a USB or SD card into the sockets provided. A selection of popular songs for six-year-olds is pre-loaded into the system.

Forget struggling with pruning shears, one mysterious gardener has gotten to the root of the problem of trimming tricky hedges - by using a ride-on lawnmower.
The man was spotted being hoisted by crane onto the two metre-high privet at a house in Cambridge, New Zealand.
And passerby Bart Dinger managed to snap some pictures of the perilous pruning manoeuvre.
