Bangladesh: Colorful Fabrics Drying
October 28, 2025, Narayanganj, Dhaka, Bangladesh: Hundreds of colour-dyed sheets of cloth are spread across a field for drying in Narayanganj, Bangladesh. The colorful cloths which sell for less than 3 USD are arranged on patches of grass to dry out completely as it is cheaper and more sustainable to dry them out in sunlight. Once the fabrics are dried, they are made into garments like t-shirts and dresses before being sold across the world. (Credit Image: © Joy Saha/ZUMA Press Wire (FOTO: DUKAS/ZUMA)

Wolf's Lair Complex, Ketrzyn, Poland - 13 Nov 2019
The Wolf's Lair (German: Wolfsschanze; Polish: Wilczy Szaniec) was Adolf Hitler's first Eastern Front military headquarters in World War II. Three security zones surrounded the central complex where the Fuhrer's bunker was located. In total, Hitler spent more than 800 days in Wolf's Lair until his final departure on 20 November 1944.
Many of the buildings were destroyed in 1944, shortly before the Red Army descended. On July 20 in 1944, a man named Claus von Stauffenberg, a German army officer, deployed a bomb in a briefcase during a military conference, which was intended to kill the dictator. The bomb only killed four men, with Hitler surviving.

Checking in with pets
Mercure Warwickshire Walton Hall Hotel & Spa introduce canine-cuisine menu, Warwick, UK - 25 Jul 2017
To launch the 'Happy Tails' package, Mercure Warwickshire Walton Hall Hotel & Spa is introducing an exclusive canine-cuisine menu designed by Head Pet Nutritionist at AniForte, Katrin Scholz.
The specially designed dog menu features a range of on-trend and nutritionally balanced meals for pooch pals, including Salmon Sashimi and Beef Tartare, to ensure that pups are given delicious food choices which appeal to both owner and hound. The menu will be available at the hotel until 31st October for just GBP 7.50.
The UK travel industry is losing out in a potential GBP 324 million a year from lack of pet-friendly options for holidaying Brits, a survey by Mercure Hotels has revealed. A lack of pet friendly hotel options in the UK leaves owners feeling guilty, sad, or even missing out on holidays entirely. The study was conducted as Mercure Hotels launches their new and exclusive pet menu, which will offer dogs accompanying their owners a delicious array of dining options to savour when staying.
