Whether you've lost your job or fallen out of love with it, 2020 has been the year many have turned to something completely new. But does everyone get a Plan B?
Blue sky thinking refers to brainstorming with no limits. With this approach to idea generation, ideas don't need to be grounded in reality. Rather, blue sky thinking sessions are open to all creative ideas regardless of practical constraints. Girl on diving board looking out to horizon.

Thousands Of Children's Lives At Risk As Deadly Cholera Outbreak Spreads Through Sudan
Save The Children has reported today (11 July) that Cholera is likely to put thousands of more lives at risk as South Sudan is facing one of the worst humanitarian crises on the continent,
The latest cholera outbreak in the Torit County is growing rapidly and illustrates how the highly infectious disease is quickly spreading throughout the country.
This is the latest outbreak of a disease that has already contaminated over 2,600 people and killed more than 60 since the first cases were reported by Save The Children in Juba on 15th May.
Cholera causes severe vomiting and diarrhoea among children and adults, which in turn leads to severe dehydration and, if treatment is not provided rapidly, to patients' death. The disease has now spread to many areas in the country, with outbreaks or alerts reported in nine out of ten States.
Children because of their age and developmental stage, are particularly susceptible to dying from the disease.
South Sudanese children are even more vulnerable as seven months of violence has forced 1.5 million people from their homes and brought the world's youngest nation, which turned three on 9 July to the brink of famine.
Calamantina livers in Sudan with her children. Her four-year old-daughter, Lopa, is being treated for cholera at the Save the Children-supported health centre in Idale, Eastern Equatoria, South Sudan. Calamantina lost three children to cholera in 2006.
She has recen...

Mexico: Casa Xochiquetzal - Shelter for elderly sex workers in Mexico City
MEXICO CITY - 2008-2012: Norma, a resident of Casa Xochiquetzal, rests in her bedroom at the shelter on may 24, 2013. Although she remembers her early childhood fondly, she was abused by one of her brother¿s friends when she was 9 years old and was also assaulted by a priest where she lived. Soon after, she decided to find work as a waitress in various red-light districts. She always liked watching the dancers close up¿¿but not so close she¿d get burnt,¿ as her co-workers used to joke. She¿s a cheerful, extroverted woman who has the dirt on absolutely everyone. Casa Xochiquetzal is a shelter for elderly sex workers in Mexico City. It gives the women refuge, food, health services, a space to learn about their human rights and courses to help them rediscover their self-confidence and deal with traumatic aspects of their lives. Casa Xochiquetzal provides a space to age with dignity for a group of vulnerable women who are often invisible to society at large. It is the only such shelter existing in Latin America. His tiger feat is in motion.
Paul Goldstein's epic week-long charity run has roared into life. But his biggest challenge so far may have been the British weather.
The wildlife photographer and Exodus tour guide completed Sunday's Brighton marathon in just under six hours.
It is now a case of making his way to London on foot where he will run the marathon - all wearing a ten-foot tiger suit on his back for the 120 mile trip.
There will also be the small matter of presenting a lecture on endangered predators and wildlife photography at London's Royal Institution on Thursday.
"The only part of me that doesn't hurt is the tip of my nose," he says.
The runner and environmentalist is expected to pad into London later today (9 April.)

Flights of Fancy: Paul Goldstein's 'In The Air' Wildlife Photography
For photographers, capturing animals in the wild is an art that can take years to master.
But wildlife photographer Paul Goldstein has taken his work to new heights by shooting animals frozen in the air as they leap.
His work sees stunning images showing jumping animals ranging from wildebeest to polar bears.
They include a dramatic flying fight between a baboon and a leopard and the cute, bouncy interaction between a pair of serval kittens.
Paul explains: "Mammals and indeed penguins cannot fly, it would be a physiological miracle if it occurred, but it is wonderful to see them try. It also is rare, which is why I like photographing it as it is a huge challenge. If the shot is successful it always elicits a good response.
"For the money shot there must be no part of the animal attached to a tree/branch/ice or rock. It does not matter if it is an 'air's breath' away, but just nothing touching.
"Air looms high on my agenda, I am obsessed by it, it is exciting photography and frequently original."
Describing the moment the baboon ambushed the leopard, Paul says: "Prime Mates? I don't think so, these are mortal enemies and a whole troop of baboons had 'treed' this young male leopard in the Masai Mara.
"Eventually they left, except one male that waited for the predators descent and jumped out at him. It gave the leopard a good dry slap then the leopard legged it and vaporised in seconds as is their wont.
"Whilst leopards will sometimes kill single baboons, they will avoid whole troops assiduously as they can turn on them. One of my favourite ever photos."
Regarding the polar bear cubs in Spitsbergen, Paul says: "What a morning. Seven polar bears in four hours many nautical miles from land in Spitsbergen. These two cub...

Baby Bird project by Gavin Parsons, Britain - Dec 2011
Editorial Use Only. No stock, advertising or merchandising without photographer's permission

A moorhen chick photographed at the RSPCA Wildlife Hospital in West Hatch, Somerset, UK. Moorhen (Gallinula chloropus) chicks are black balls of fluff with long legs sticking out the bottom. The red bill of the parents can just be seen starting to come through. Much daintier and elegant I think than the Coot, the moorhen is a shy bird in the countryside, but can be quite bold on town lakes.
Baby Bird project by Gavin Parsons, Britain - Dec 2011
FULL WORDS: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/drxe
An adorable project shows the baby birds of Britain in the first days of their lives.
Wildlife photographer Gavin Parsons has worked closely with UK rescue centres to capture chicks bought in for care.
He has spent the last three years photographing some of the baby birds bought into Folly Wildlife Rescue in Sussex and the RSPCA Wildlife Rescue Centre West Hatch in Somerset.
Each year hundreds of hatchlings are bought to rescue centres either after their nests have been disturbed or when they have been mistakenly picked up by well-meaning members of the public after they have fledged.

Impressive Shots: Alan Sailer's High Speed Photography
What an impressive shot!
Alan Sailer creates amazing images of everyday items being hit by projectiles.
Using high-speed photography, he can capture in stunning detail the moment items such as marbles and pellets pass through objects.
The jaw-dropping results include a pellet shredding three cigarettes, a marble destroying an ice cream cone and the shooting of stacks of staples.
Other targeted highlights include cans of drink, ice lollies, a cherry pie and a tub of cream cheese.
