The picture shows El ChaltZn taken by Francisco Javier Negroni Rodriguez, aged 45, in Argentina. He said: 'An hour before taking this photograph I was walking along the trails that surround the beautiful rock formation known as El ChaltZn in Argentina, the day was very cloudy, apparently luck was not with me on this adventure. The climate in Patagonia is somewhat unpredictable, it changes every moment and the wind is so strong that it quickly moves the clouds. Only at times could the figure of the massif be distinguished. My hope was focused on getting to a place from where I could wait very patiently for the weather to help me and give me a window of good weather at sunset to be able to take some photos, but nature surprised me. It was incredible! Only for a moment the clouds allowed me to see El ChaltZn and to my surprise there was a spectacular and brilliant lenticular cloud with a beautiful and perfect figure that I had never seen. The 26 finalists for this year's Weather Photographer of the Year have been announced and the public are being invited to vote for their favourite. The Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS), which celebrates its 170th birthday this year, in association with AccuWeather, has put the shortlisted pictures on their website and people can visit photocrowd.com/wpotyvote to vote until September 2.

Dozens killed after ferry collides with cargo boat on Padma River, Bangladesh - 23 Feb 2015
At least 70 people are known to have died in a ferry accident in Bangladesh, after authorities managed to reach the vessel which capsized on Sunday.
It collided with a cargo boat crossing the Padma river, about 40km (25 miles) north-west of the capital Dhaka.
Most of those who drowned were on the ferry's lower decks - 40 or 50 people were rescued or swam ashore.
Witnesses said the ferry may have been overcrowded, with up to 150 people reportedly on board.
Accidents are common on Bangladesh's river network, with overcrowding and poor boat quality often to blame.
The ferry was raised to the surface and brought ashore on Monday.
The exact number of people aboard the boat is not known, as Bangladeshi ferries do not usually have formal passenger lists.
Police have arrested three people, including at least one person responsible for steering the cargo vessel.

'Shock And Awe': New Fathers Photographed on Day of Baby's Birth
Petrified, ecstatic, tearful - the range of emotions experienced by brand new fathers have been captured in this poignant set of images.
Photographer Dave Young was present through the nights of 23rd to 26th April at London's Chelsea and Westminster hospital documenting the reactions of new dads minutes after their partners gave birth.
His charming work sees unguarded reactions from the men, coupled with a phrase or few lines of words they would like their child to live by.
Sentiments range from "Live your life as if it were a constant pursuit of happiness" to "No tattoos until you're 30 and always be nice to your mum!"
The pictures were commissioned for The Book of Dads, a special Father's Day charity edition of The Book of Everyone personalised books (http://thebookofeveryone.com/borne/). 50% of the proceeds of the book go towards supporting Borne, a UK premature birth charity (http://borne.org.uk/).
Steve Hanson, co-founder of The Book of Everyone, says, "The idea came about when we wanted to do something special to celebrate Father's Day. The Book of Everyone is a new start up run by three dads, one of whom has just had a baby and still has the look of wonder - or is it terror? - on his face. We thought it?d be fun to celebrate that awe, worry and relief on the faces of new dads who have just witnessed the birth of their sons or daughters. Dave Young was the perfect photographer to capture these once in a lifetime moments."
Ahead of Father's Day (June 15th) the The Book of Everyone site allows you to fashion a personalised 50 page Book of Dads, which you create by adding photos, personal tweaks and special messages for your dad. http://thebookofeveryone.com/borne/

Miriam Carey shot dead by police after driving rampage with her child in back seat, Washington DC, America - 03 Oct 2013
Screen grab from dramatic footage captured at the scene of armed police confronting dental hygenist Miriam Carey who was eventually shot dead after police placed Capitol Hill in Washington in lock down yesterday as she rammed a White house barrier in her black sedan during a driving rampage.
She was reported to have been suffering from postpartum depression or mental problems as she drove her Infiniti luxury sedan 270 miles from her home in Stamford to Washington with her young daughter in the back seat.
This footage shows the point when her car was surrounded by armed police pointing guns at her but she just drove off (shown here) as up to 15 shots were fired into the car. Her daughter Erica, believed to be aged two, was remarkably rescued unscathed from the bullet-ridden vehicle after her mother was shot dead. These stills shows in sequence police surrounding the car and pointing their guns into the vehicle, the car being driven off and chased and stunned bystanders watching the drama unfold.
