Prince William dealing with an air ambulance patient, Cambridge, Britain - 22 Mar 2016
*Full story: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/s58v
Extraordinary pictures have been revealed showing the caring side of Prince William as he went above and beyond the call of duty at work, comforting a patient and even travelling with him in the ambulance. Photos show the Duke of Cambridge tending to and reassuring the man, who had been injured by a large tree branch, after flying him to hospital in the air ambulance yesterday afternoon (Tues). As co-pilot William is usually seen waiting in the helicopter cock-pit while his colleagues carry out the medical tasks. But this time it was the Duke who was the first to quickly jump out of the helicopter and pull the man, who was in his 30s, out on a stretcher after landing at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. He looked calm and confident as he then worked together with the paramedics to carefully move the patient, who had been injured by a tree branch at work, onto the waiting ambulance trolley.

Golden eagle attempts to fly off with young deer during hunt, Liptovsky Hradok, Slovakia - 2011
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Milan Krasula/Solent News / Rex Features (1530341a)
Deer's Gripping Encounter With Golden Eagle
This plucky deer had an incredible escape when it dived under a fence to get away from a huge eagle.
The young doe had to run for its life after the golden eagle swooped in for the kill.
Photographer Milan Krasula snapped away as the chase played out in front of him.
The 30-year-old spent four days trying to get a great picture of the annual eagle hunt, where owners release their birds to hunt prey.
But instead of diving for a smaller animal, the eagle amazed watchers by dive-bombing the deer and trying to fly off with it.
He said: "You have to be very lucky to get a good shot, as you cannot predict where the prey will be hiding.
"I found an area that I thought it would be good for a photo and where some smaller animals might be hiding.
"I was waiting there around an hour or so, when all of a sudden there was a young little doe running out from the forest.
"One keeper then released his eagle, who was about 200 metres away from me.
"He did not see the little doe running and had actually released the eagle to get another animal.
"Of course, the eagle went for the doe instead of the other prey."
Milan, from Liptovsky Hradok, Slovakia, added: "Both the doe and the eagle were heading towards me.
"I was lucky to witness such an event of mother nature and I was lucky enough to have a camera with me and capture it.
"It happened so fast, by the time I checked the images on the back of the camera, both the doe and the eagle were gone.
"It was an unsuccessful attack by the eagle - I think the life of the doe was saved by a nearby fence.
"It wanted to jump over it but was so frightened and scared it only managed to slip underneath, giving the eagle no choice but to abandon the chase.
"The eagle flew back to its ke...

A green tomato hit with a pellet while water is pured onto it
Impressive Shots: Alan Sailer's High Speed Photography
What an impressive shot!
Alan Sailer creates amazing images of everyday items being hit by projectiles.
Using high-speed photography, he can capture in stunning detail the moment items such as marbles and pellets pass through objects.
The jaw-dropping results include a pellet shredding three cigarettes, a marble destroying an ice cream cone and the shooting of stacks of staples.
Other targeted highlights include cans of drink, ice lollies, a cherry pie and a tub of cream cheese.
Based in Camarillo, California, the 56-year-old is a microwave engineer by day, but pursues his hobby in his garage in the evening.
Getting the shots is all in the timing. Alan opens the shutter on his camera on a one second exposure with one hand, while firing the rifle or air cannon with the other. A powerful flash is triggered when the projectile passes through a laser beam.
His set-up allows him the option to not only fire pellets and marbles at 500ft per second, but items such as Christmas ornaments filled with coloured gelatine.
Alan began his hobby after building his own 20,000 volt microsecond flash in 2008. He was encouraged when an image he took of a pellet being split by a razor blade caused a stir online.
"I was very surprised at the reaction to the razor blade splitting the pellet shot. It has had over 270,000 views and made me a little famous. The shot scared me, I didn't know if pieces of razor blade would come flying out."
Contrary to the destructive nature of his work, Alan isn't a fan of firearms.
He explains: "Bye the bye, I don't like guns as some people seem to think from the photos. It just that the only way to get great high speed photos is to photograph something going at high...

Corset piercing craze sees ribbon 'sewn' onto backs, ribs and thoroats, Southampton, Hampshire, Britain - 3 May 2011
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Solent News / Rex Features ( 1315304k )
The Latest Craze? Of Corset Is
A bizarre new craze called 'corset piercing' is sweeping the UK.
The painful trend involves sticking hoops into the skin and then threading them with ribbon to give a 'corset' effect.
The 'decoration', which can cost up to GBP 300, can be applied to any area of the body where the skin is loose enough to pinch in order to thread a needle through.
Popular areas include the back, ribs and, in some cases, even the throat.
Anyone who wants the unusual decoration must endure an hour of pain to achieve the effect.
However, it's only temporary as after a few weeks of wear the hooks simply grow out, leaving scars in their place.
The craze is the latest in the 'body modification' phenomenon, which has seen people going to extraordinary levels in a bid to stand out from the crowd.
Today it's possible to be branded, scarred and even have silicone implanted under the skin to create bumps and 'horns'.
Kooky popstar Lady Gaga is just one celebrity who's jumped on the bandwagon. She sported bizarre flesh-coloured 'horns' on her face during a television interview in February this year.
According to piercing experts, the 'corset' modification is growing in popularity as more and more brave the pain.
But consultant plastic surgeon Kevin Hancock, a council member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons who works at Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Merseyside, warned of the problems it can cause.
He added: "I can't believe it's something that people would be attracted to.
"Any piercing, superficial or otherwise, produces a scar and different people scar in different ways.
"For some, the scarring may be slight but for others it can produce problems where the tissue overgrows and you end up with a red lump which is permanent.
"In some cases this can...

Image grab from footage released by Russian Defense Ministry on Tuesday February 15, 2022 shows soldiers from units of the Southern Military District load onto railway transport for departure to their garrison bases (points of permanent deployment) in an undisclosed location after completing drills at the Ukraine border. The Russian Defense Ministry said that while large-scale drills across the country continued, some units of the Southern and Western military districts had completed their exercises and started returning to base. The movements came as Russia signaled Monday (February 14) it is ready to keep diplomatic talks with the West about security concerns that led to the current Ukraine crisis, offering hope to resolve the situation within the diplomatic route as the U.S. and Europe increasingly fear an imminent invasion by Russia amid increased military buildup in Ukraine. More than 100,000 Russian troops have massed near the Ukrainian border. Russia denies planning an attack or invasion but says it could take unspecified military action if a list of demands is not met, including a promise from NATO never to admit Ukraine.
