Mayor launches air quality monitoring backpacks trial
Mayor Sadiq Khan launches air quality monitoring backpacks for London school kids. Sadiq Khan will join primary schoolchildren wearing special air quality monitoring backpacks on their walk to school on Tuesday morning. Haimo School in Greenwich is one of five London primary schools across London taking part in the trial. The sensors, weighing just over 1kg, fit into lightweight bags and measure levels of particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2).
