    December 11, 2017 - New York, New York, United States: Akayed Ullah, a 27-year-old Brooklyn man ISIS-inspired would-be suicide bomber set off a homemade explosive device at the Port Authority Bus Terminal subway station on December 11, 2017, seriously wounding himself and injuring three others. Ullah, a Bangladeshi immigrant, had wires attached to him and a 5-inch metal pipe bomb and battery pack strapped to his midsection as he walked through the Manhattan transit hub. He partially detonated the device prematurely around 7:40 a.m. He was taken by police into custody. (Polaris)

Pritzker Prize-winning architect Fumihiko Maki was awarded the contract to design the building, which will be 978 feet (298 m) tall. As of 2013 it is the second tallest skyscraper on the rebuilt World Trade Center site behind One World Trade Center, although Two World Trade Center and Three World Trade Center are planned to surpass the building's height upon completion.
