    Brian Eno
    Artist/musician

Former Leader of the Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn MP, Zarah Sultana MP, Musician Brian Eno and others, including French MP Jerome Legavre of La France Insoumise talk about the International Peace Conference which will take place in Paris on 5th October. They say this is a "response to the Trump-mandated European rearmament programme".

Organised by John Rees, national officer of Stop the War and founder of Counterfire, the peace conference "comes after hundreds of activists across the continent signed a call to halt the militarisation of Europe and to use the resources to rebuild crumbling infrastructure and reverse the welfare cuts that every citizen faces.

The Paris conference already has nearly 2,000 registered to attend in the huge Paris venue (Dome de Paris). The event will be a huge gathering of Palestine solidarity. The aim is to restart the Europe-wide social movement, the European Social Forum, that galvanised opposition to neoliberalism and the Iraq war in the early years of the century.

Jeremy Corbyn, Brian Eno, Zarah Sultana and others press briefing ahead of the international Anti-War Conference in Paris at Foreign Press Association, Royal Overseas League, London, Great Britain
    23rd September 2025

    Jeremy Corbyn
