A special mural has been created in Shoreditch to celebrate London’s LGBTQI+ communities.
The mural was commissioned by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, as part of his Loved and Wanted campaign to coincide with London’s Pride celebrations this Saturday 5 July.
The mural has been designed by community artist Hannah ‘Disco’ Dickins to speak directly to the LGBTQI+ communities, reaffirming that they are valued, celebrated, and wanted in the capital.?
The mural can be found at Turville Street, Shoreditch, London until 20th July 2025.

Iran unveils new anti-US murals at former embassy
November 2, 2019 - Tehran, Iran: Major General Hossein Salami, Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander, is speaking in front of the former US embassy building at the ceremony to unveil the new murals which are mostly painted in white, red and blue, the US flag colors. Among the art unveiled are a crumbling Statue of Liberty with a broken torch-bearing arm, the triangle of the Eye of Providence used on the US dollar bill, in a sea of blood in which skulls are floating, the American Global Hawk drone that was shot down by Iran, with bats flying out of it, an Iran Air commercial plane that was shot down by an American warship over the Gulf in 1988, with white doves flying out of it.
