Scared of Losing Your Child on the Beach? Get Them Tattooed!
SCARED OF LOSING YOUR CHILD ON THE BEACH? GET THEM TATTOOED!
Parents scared of losing their children on the beach are being urged to get them TATTOOED.
Thankfully the 'ink' is of the temporary kind in the form of stickers printed with parental contact details.
If a child is found lost the phone number details on the sticker should enable a quick reunion with their guardian.
Virginia Lu, a mother of five and the creator of Tottoos, got the idea at an American football game when she and her husband spotted a lost child.
She explains "We were heading to the concessions stand and spotted a little girl standing up against a trashcan, crying. We asked if she needed help. She told us she couldn't find her mother. When we asked what her mother's name was, she said, 'Mommy'."
"I stayed with her while my husband made his way through the sea of people in search of a security guard.
"My husband finally came back with a security guard and we waited for what seemed like an eternity before we finally spotted the woman who was frantically searching for her daughter.
"I was thinking the whole time how worried the girl's mother must have been and wished I could just call her to let her know where her child was, and that she was safe."
The US-based company claim Tottoos are perfect for vacations, amusement parks, family outings, school field trips, shopping, and "any other situation where a child may accidentally stray from you".
The water-resisant stickers come in GBP 7.50 packs of 15, pre-printed with the contact details you provide. One Tottoo can last for several days.
You can also have Tottoos alerting the reader to any medical c...

STORY COPY: What’s the best picture of Earth ever?
That’s the question NASA’s Earth Observatory is asking in a visually arresting contest they have called Tournament Earth 2020.
Since 1999, Earth Observatory has published over 16,000 images, so to celebrate their 20th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, they want the public to pick their all-time best image.
Readers will narrow the field from 32 nominees down to one champion in a five-round knockout-style tournament. Pictures have been chosen under the categories: Past Winners, Home Planet, Land & Ice, and Sea & Sky. These will go head-to-head each week from March 23 to April 28, 2020, when a tournament winner will be announced.
NASA Earth Observatory is an online publishing outlet for NASA which was created in 1999. It is the principal source of satellite imagery and other scientific information pertaining to the climate and the environment which are being provided by NASA for consumption by the general public.
The black-and-white photograph shows the Earth rising over a horizontal surface on December 24, 1968, as the Apollo 8 crew orbited the Moon. The spacecraft was near 110 degrees east lunar longitude, with the horizon stretching about 570 kilometers (250 miles) ahead.
