A ball-shaped robot equipped with artificial intelligence is set to be rolled out this summer.
The bright yellow bowling-ball sized Ballie by South Korean electronics giant Samsung is described as a companion six years after its prototype unveiling in 2019.
It roves around the home on a set of wheels
It is equipped with cloud-based Google Gemini AI in the cloud said to unlock a range of capabilities.
It can accept audio and voice inputs, gather visual data using its camera, and use sensors to understand what's happening around it.
Samsung says it can be used to check out the fit of an owner’s clothes, offer styling recommendations, and provide tips on improving well-being.
All this is done simply by speaking to it with natural language commands.
It can also adjust home lighting and set reminders.
