This is the moment a court defendant launched himself at a judge during
a shocking courtroom outburst.
Video captured the moment Deobra Redden, 30, vaulted over the bench to attack Judge Mary Kay Holthus in the USA.
Redden was in the Clark County District Court , Las Vegas, Nevada , was being sentenced for an attempted battery charge causing bodily harm.
He pleaded guilty to the crime at a previous hearing in November but was arrested in December after missing a court appearance.
His lawyer requested probation, but Judge Holthus said: "I think it's time he get a taste of something else.”
A commotion could then be heard as Redden raced from his seat and launched himself at the shocked judge who ducked for cover.
The nearby marshal and clerk met Redden with equal force as the crazed criminal thrashed around by the bench.
Redden managed to injure the marshal before he was finally restrained..
