Demonstrators protest against potential fracking in Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire after Friends of the Earth revealed chemicals firm, INEOS is to carry out seismic imaging surveys in this former medieval hunting forest including near to the ancient Major Oak tree (pictured). Green campaigners fear this could lead to the search for shale gas in the legendary home of heroic outlaw, Robin Hood. INEOS Shale says it is not fracking in Sherwood Forest.
