FEATURE - Was für ein Scheiss: Asiatisches Restaurant macht auf Toilette
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Paul Brown/REX/Shutterstock (5900820g)
The Modern Toilet restaurant is known for its amazing ice creams served in toilet bowls and big enough to share. The Modern Toilet restaurant is situated in the trendy Ximending area of Taipei in Taiwan, just off the Xining South Road. It is one of a chain of restaurants which has grown across Taiwan from a small ice cream shop to a fully-fledged restaurant selling great food, often shaped and themed around the toilet and of course in toilet shaped dishes and glasses. It all started from an idea from reading the manga Dr. Slump on the toilet!
Now you can get your chicken in a toilet shaped bowl and drink your honey and aloe drink from a urine collection bottle that is more at home beside a hospital bed. And of course, the ice cream comes in exactly the shape and colour you would expect. In fact, you get four options of the huge ice cream dishes that are a great favouriteÉ toilet 1, toilet 2, toilet 3 and toilet 4. Of course, both Asian and European style toilets are available depending on your taste or the meal you order.
Modern toilet is a great fun themed restaurant which is popular with locals and tourists alike and people of all ages.

A huge Serb Orthodox church in Pristina, Kosovo, unfinished and derelict. During the Yugoslav wars of the 1990s Serbia aggressively tried to reclaim Kosovo, enticing ethnic Serbs to return to the land of their ancestors, building Serb Orthodox churches. This was a newly built large orthodox church in the very centre of Pristina. Once Serbia lost the fight for Kosovo, and Serbs mostly left, Kosovars left the unfinished church to rot. Destroying it would send an unwanted message to the world and finishing it would be pointless since there are practically no Serbs left in Kosovo outside several isolated enclaves, says Oleg

British photojournalist Rick Findler spent ten days embedded with Qalubna Ma?kum - a group of foreign volunteers who have teamed up with the Peshmerga in Kurdistan, Northern Iraq to help them in the fight against Daesh AKA ISIS. Here, he recounts his experiences.
........
Kat, a 29-year-old volunteer fighter based here in Kurdistan, started the Qalubna Ma?kum volunteer organisation when she arrived back in December last year. The name - literally meaning ?our hearts are with you? in Arabic - was thought of after many hours of deliberation by Kat, her French boyfriend Guillaume and medic Michael Wagnon.
Kat is currently talking about how she used to use sky diving as her ?zen? to cope with the very boring free time she had in California after her seven year stint in the United States Army.

French flag flies over Sydney Harbour bridge, Sydney, Australia - 15 Nov 2015
Mandatory Credit: Photo by James D. Morgan/REX Shutterstock (5367976e)
The French flag has been raised on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge as a show of solidarity with the French people after the attacks in Paris.
It is flying alongside the Australian flag at full-mast on the western side, replacing the NSW state flag.
Premier Mike Baird tweeted on Saturday that he would have a French flag made if his government could not find one the right size.
"I've asked for French flag to fly over the Harbour Bridge. There isn't one in the country big enough. If we can't find one, we'll make one," he said.
Premier Baird tweeted on Sunday that the Sydney Opera House would again be lit in the French colours from 8:00pm to midnight tonight and Monday night.
The Sydney Opera House was among a range of landmarks to light up in the colours blue, white and red as Australians showed their support for Parisians rocked by terror attacks.
Vigils were also held around the country in solidarity with the French after more than 120 people were killed in a coordinated series of terror attacks in Paris.
Another 200 were injured, 80 seriously, including 19-year-old Hobart woman Emma Grace Parkinson.

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Guy Bell/REX Shutterstock (5356789b)
Kim Wilde unveils a nude self-portrait created in 1990It has now been framed by John Jones and launches an online auction for charity via www.wildecancerfoundation.com. The benefitting charity is the 'Hertfordshire Breast Unit Appeal', where her sister in law Mandy Smith was treated for Breast Cancer. The Breast Unit in WGC came about because of a fund raising mission by Vicki Adkins MBE. Vicki's own experience with breast cancer led her to realise that a dedicated place for people to deal with such a traumatic event in their lives was badly needed within the QE2 hospital in W.G.C Hertfordshire. Vicki contacted Kim in the early fund raising days and she was very happy to help out at several events. Eventually when the unit was built Vicki asked Kim to design a garden attached to the unit - a private, peaceful space for anyone affected by breast cancer to go and take time out away from other patients and staff.
Kim commented on the self portrait - 'I called this 'Sunburn' and was inspired to do it after reading an amazing book about Frida Kahlo by Hayden Herrera. I'd forgotten I had it until I cleared out a cluttered room, and there it was inside my old art portfolio from college. When I saw it I thought that it would be perfect to raise money for my chosen charity. It has since been generously framed by John Jones (London) who, frankly, are much more used to framing priceless works of art!'

The portrait has been framed by John Jones and launches an online auction for charity via www.wildecancerfoundation.com. The benefitting charity is the 'Hertfordshire Breast Unit Appeal', where her sister in law Mandy Smith was treated for Breast Cancer. The Breast Unit in WGC came about because of a fund raising mission by Vicki Adkins MBE. Vicki's own experience with breast cancer led her to realise that a dedicated place for peopl

A woman with the biggest collection of classic children's clothes in the UK has shown off her wardrobe fit for a little prince and princess which would make Kate Middleton envious.
Angela Lynne has spent 40 years tracking down thousands of vintage garments, including dozens of smocked romper suits which Prince George has brought back into fashion.
The grandmother-of-fourteen keeps her vast collection in the large attic of her Georgian mansion near Attleborough in Norfolk, not far from the Duchess of Cambridge, who is a huge fan of vintage kids clothing.

Emperor Penguins, Snow Hill, Antarctica. Paul says: "Way down in Antarctica on the eastern peninsular I was stuck in the ice for a week along with 100 people. Off the stern of the ship we watched Emperor penguins on their migratory routes. You had to gamble where they were going to come up so virtually impossible to get the shot, but once one had jumped you could bet the others would follow, in this instance 'more is more' - this was the only time three jumped simultaneously."

With Saturday (25 April) being World Penguin Day, wildlife photographer Paul Goldstein has shared some of his favourite pictures of the aquatic, flightless birds.
Wimbledon-based Paul, who guides for Exodus Travels, has led many expeditions to the poles on small ice-breakers, so has had great opportunites to document penguin behaviour.
He explains: "I love the polar bears of the North but there is something magical about the penguins down South that entrance me. Yes it can be a mission to get there but it is palpably worth it.

This is just another take of the classic view over Sgurr Fiona and the impressive ridge of An Teallach (Dundonell, NW Scotland) taken at sunset on a wild camping trip at the end of auutumn. Unfortunately the cloud cover prevented an explosion of colours at sunset, but visibility remained decent, so no complaining from me. I would have loved to get lower to emphasize the sandstone rocks a little more, but this would have concealed Loch Toll an Lochain.

Scotland-based photographer Camillo Berenos has spent the past few years travelling though the highlands, capturing breath-taking pictures along the way.
Camillo said: "Unlike many who undertake such projects, I haven't focused on a single defined geographical area, though the majority of my photographic forays have taken me to the Western and North-Western Highlands.
"From the vast but also familiar landscapes of Rannoch Moor and Glen Coe, to the relentlessly steep slopes of the hills in Kintail and the rugged and shapely mountain massifs of Torridon and Wester Ross, I have spent many hours in the hills, with specific destinations often primarily being determined by where the weather forecast looked most favourable."

I really loved how the white lichen covered stones contrasted with soft green grassy tussocks, and tough it would a nice foreground with Cul Beag as backdrop. The steep westerly cliffs of Creag nan Calman can be seen on the left. Unfortunately the sun would rise behind Creag nan Calman, and the best compositions were found around this spot, behind the cliffs.

Eye-Opening Portraits Explore The Lives Of Third Gender People In Bangladesh
Shahria Sharmin's poignant photo series Call Me Heena highlights the struggles of the transgender minority in Bangladesh, also known as the Hijras.
The term Hijra is often given to those of the 'third' or unknown gender in Bangladesh, and also parts of India and Pakistan.
While most of Western society is very accepting towards the transgender community, males who choose to live as females face are shunned from society in most of Bangladesh, India and Pakistan.
"In Bangladesh Hijras hardly get an opportunity to have a normal life. They do not have any school to study, no temple to pray in, no government and private organizations would want to see them in their employee list. They have no access to legal system nor do even health service providers welcome them."
Shahria is a 42-year-old Bangladeshi photographer who is currently studying in London.
The photographer decided to take time to get to know the community who are outcast by so many.
"I, like almost everyone else in my society, was raised to see them as less than human. Their habits, way of life, and even their looks marked them as apart, different and deviant.
"Then I met Heena and she made me see how wrong I was. She opened her life to me, made me a part of her world and helped me to see beyond the word Hijra. She made me understand her, and others who live in her community, as the mothers, daughters, friends and lovers that they actually are."
Shahria began pursuing photography at the age of 38 and has worked as a freelance documentary photographer ever since.

Would You Treat Your Dog To An $800 Pet Camper?
A Canadian designer has created a new level of luxe for our pets.
Straight Line Design's owner and sole designer Judson Beaumont says the inspiration for the Pet Camper came to him when his daughter asked him to build a doghouse for her puppy several years ago.
The company says that all of the trailers are fully customisable.
"We use a variety of materials including laminate, which makes the possibilities virtually endless. We currently have 4 body styles available, however Judson is always coming up with new concepts for future models. There will definitely be more to come," says a representative from the firm.
Although the trendy trailers were originally created with small dogs in mind, the campers are perfect for any kind of small animal.
They recommend pets no larger than 20 lbs however they have been approached for larger models suitable for bigger dogs.
"We work with our clients to give them something unique that they and their furry friends will love. Everything from the materials used, the size, style, colour, and even the personalized license plates can be customized."
The materials used are not designed to withstand rain and the designers say that prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause discoloration to certain finishes such as paint.
Therefore, they recommend that the pet trailers should be used indoors, or outdoors for short periods of time.
Prices start at $800 and go up depending on size, style, and material and the petite pet campers can be shipped anywhere around the worl...
