Plans for the new 'World's Tallest' tower have been unveiled...
Emaar Properties, the leading Dubai-based global property developer and builder of the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa, have unveiled plans to build a new tower, which will be the largest in the World.
The Tower is anticipated to be slightly taller than the 2,716 ft high Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building since 2009, and is projected to cost $1 billion (GBP 700 million). Construction is planned to start in July 2016 with a four year construction programme.
With a design inspired by the lily and traditional minaret towers, The Tower will serve as an architectural icon, ready for the Dubai World Expo in 2020. Around a reinforced concrete core, The Tower will have a slender glass and steel façade.

Royal Baby Bet: Medium Receives Tip-Off From Princess Diana
Royal Baby Bet: Medium Receives Tip-Off From Princess Diana
"I know the sex of the Royal baby, Princess Diana told me," claims Yorkshire medium.
Further speculation on the sex of William and Kate's baby has dominated recent headlines but one lady is so confident she knows the gender she's made a bet at her local bookies, which could see her win GBP 25,000.
During one of her many conversations with the late Princess of Wales Carolina Bruce, a practicing medium who once appeared on GMTV with Lorraine Kelly, claims the spirit of Diana envisaged the Royal baby to be a girl.
Amazingly the Princess has also foretold her grandchild's birth date, which she believes to be the same as hers - July 1st.
She even went on to predict the baby will weigh less than eight pounds; arrive between midnight and noon somewhere in London; have blue eyes and dark hair and both Victoria and Diana will be included in her names.
The 56-year-old medium, who lives in Knaresborough in North Yorkshire, was encouraged to place the bet by her husband Laurence, who didn't use to believe in the afterlife before meeting Carolina.
He said: "I told Carolina if she really believed what Diana was telling her about the Royal baby then she should put a bet on it, that way others could also see how much she believes Diana is back in the form of an archangel."
Having so much faith in her royal friend Carolina placed a GBP 50 bet with all nine predictions that Diana had foreseen.
She placed the bet with odds at 500/1 at her local Ladbrokes in Harrogate on Friday (April 26).
If all nine parts of the accumulator turn out to be right, Carolina could end up with GBP 25,000.
She ...
