*Exclusive* The Fun Times Of William And Kate
Appearing together for the first time since announcing their long awaited engagement Prince William described how he and his bride-to-be Kate Middleton "have great fun together".
And as these exclusive pictures show that certainly seems to be true.
The snaps of William and Kate taking to the dance floor in each other's arms were shot at a gala dinner in 2004 in St Andrews .
They show the young and clearly smitten couple twirling, laughing and holding each other close.
The intimate moment came three years after the pair were first introduced when they both began to attend St Andrews University.
Their friendship, which even saw them living together as student flatmates, matured into something more in 2003.
Speaking recently about the development of their relationship William commented: "We just spent more time with each other had a good giggle, had lots of fun and realised we shared the same interests and just had a really good time".
A year into their relationship, these exclusive images show just how close the pair had grown.
And that has clearly not changed in the years since, despite a brief separation at the beginning of 2007.
The couple soon re-united and since then speculation about an imminent engagement has been intense.
That speculation is finally over with the announcement that the couple got engaged in October when holidaying in Kenya.
Talking after the engagement was officially announced, and addressing questions of the long wait, William spoke of how the pair took their time with their relationship because they didn't want to rush into anything.
Their eight year long relationship is in direct contrast to William's mother and father, with Prince Charles barely knowing Princess Diana when they wed.
