Buckingham Palace became a science lab as scores of scientists set up interactive experiments in the Queen's home. The royal residence was transformed with displays highlighting technical advances in everything from medicine and engineering to space exploration. More than 800 GCSE and A level students from across the country packed into the grand ballroom for the special Science Day.
