NEWS - Haftbefehl gegen Wikileaks-Gründer Julian Assange bleibt bestehen
Julian Assange was today mounting a legal challenge which could allow him to walk free from the Ecuadorean embassy within hours. The Wikileaks founder has been holed up inside the diplomatic premises in London for five years since rape and sexual assault allegations were made against him in Sweden. He has been facing arrest throughout that time for failing to surrender to a warrant issued by Westminster magistrates’ court after an extradition request by Swedish prosecutors, which has now been dropped.
