NEWS - Kalifornien: Buschbrände in San Clemente
July 5, 2017 - San Clemente/Talega, California, U.S - A Caterpillar D2 makes its way along the fire line to cut brush during mop up operations. The Orange County Fire Authority responded to a 25 acre vegetation fire on Wednesday afternoon at the end of Avenida Pico in San Clemente. The OCFA was aided by Cal Fire as well as firefighters from Camp Pendleton. About 100 firefighters attacked the flames in hilly terrain with the aide of two Cal Fire fixed wing aircraft as well as helicopters from Cal Fire and the OCFA. Flames came to within about 80 yards of commercial buildings as well as about 350 yards from homes and apartments but fast reaction by OCFA fire crews along with mop up operations kept property and homes from any real threat (FOTO: DUKAS/ZUMA)
