Die schnelle Kamera mit dem extrem langen Teleobjekiv (800mm) folgte der Situation. Das Muffelschaf rannte von rechts nach links. Der Muffelwidder hinterher. Was Gerlach nicht sah, war der ruhende Rothirsch, der sich von dem Treiben der Muffelschafe nicht irritieren ließ. Im genau entscheidendem Moment - der eigentlichen Kopula - avancierte der Rothirsch zum Moralhüter. Die Kamera stellte in dem Moment auf den Hirschen scharf und der eigentliche Liebesakt wurde – unfreiwillig - vom Rothirsch zensiert.
