    It is thought that the man and girl were not the targets and that two teenagers who had run into the shop seconds earlier were in the shop to take cover from their assailants who had been chasing them. The gunmen entered the shop and started spraying bullets, shooting the man in the face and the girl in the chest. The two intended targets are not thought to have been injured and ran out the back of the shop.

    The borough of Lambeth has become notorious for gun crime in recent years and Operation Trident officers were at the scene to investigate this incident.
