British photographer Tim Plowden lives in a wild corner of Singapore that is also called home by a family of smooth-coated otters. The photographer has been keeping track of the adorable animals throughout 2017 as they have successfully raised a clutch six cubs. Their territory stretches along several miles of coastline, a network of mangrove rivers as well as urbanised sections of river and parkland. And Tim isn't the only person to be enchanted by the furry family with many locals having also taken them to heart. Tim comments: ?The playfulness of the cubs is enchanting and I love how strong their family bonds are. They always look out for each other and if they are apart for any length of time they greet each other with such exuberance it makes you appreciate just how close their family ties really are".

The picture shows Just Walking In The Rain by Adrian Campfield, 65, from Kent. It was taken in London. He said: 'My wife and I were standing on the platform waiting for the train at Waterloo Station in London, England. We had been walking around London for the day taking photos and were on the way home. Without any warning the heavens opened and the storm broke thunder and lightning everywhere. We both ran for cover under the platform shelter as did all the other waiting passengers. I saw this lone woman walking towards me with the umbrella up and I had enough time to get the camera ready. I zoomed in a little, set the speed at 1000/iso to freeze the falling raindrops and this was the result. The 26 finalists for this year's Weather Photographer of the Year have been announced and the public are being invited to vote for their favourite.The Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS), which celebrates its 170th birthday this year, in association with AccuWeather, has put the shortlisted pictures on their website and people can visit photocrowd.com/wpotyvote to vote until September 2.

Johnny Depp 'Buying GBP 12m Country Estate' In Somerset
According to reports a newly engaged Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are planning to buy a country estate in Somerset.
The actor is rumoured to be buying the GBP 12m Hadspen House, which boasts 12 bedrooms, eight bathroom and 850 acres.
The Downton Abbey-style abode has been described as one of the prettiest country houses in England.
And the Hollywood couple may need all of the extra space the house provides as it is said that they are keen to start a family together.
