'The Winter's Tale' / 'The Cherry Orchard' play opening night party, Buddha Bar, London, Britain - 09 Jun 2009
Last night saw the opening night party at the Buddha Bar for two plays produced by Sam Mendes's new theatre company, The Bridge Project: Shakespeare's 'The Winter's Tale' and Tom Stoppard's adaptation of Chekhov's 'The Cherry Orchard', staged at the Old Vic.
Mendes has reunited with the Old Vic's artistic director Kevin Spacey, whom he directed in his Oscar-winning film 'American Beauty', for these productions which feature twenty actors from both sides of the Atlantic, including Ethan Hawke, Rebecca Hall, Josh Hamilton and Simon Russell Beale.
The Bridge Project will be taking their productions on a world tour.
