The world’s tallest residential skyscraper is to be built in Brazil — in tribute to the country’s motor racing legend Ayrton Senna.

To be called the Senna Tower, it will be located in the coastal city of Belneario Camboriu in the state of Santa Catarina.

Senna was an extraordinarily gifted racing driver who won the Formula One World Drivers' Championship in 1988, 1990, and 1991, but tragically died in a crash aged 34.

The exact height for the Senna Tower has not yet been revealed but it is said to be over 500 m.

That would make it significantly taller than the current tallest residential skyscraper, New York City's Central Park Tower which is 472 m.

The Senna Tower is designed by the racing icon's artist niece Lalalli Senna and will feature a base that tapers into a classic rectangular tower shape.

It will contain 228 residences, including 18 so-called "suspended mansions," and a pair of "mega-triplex penthouses," as well as six private leisure floors with amenities and a rooftop area for residents' use.
?It will also host entertainment, leisure and restaurant areas open to the public at the base, plus there will be an immersive space detailing Ayrton Senna's career and his life and achievements.

The highest floor , one of two with public access, will be home to an observatory to take advantage of the spectacular views.

An e-scooter that mimics the livery of the McLaren Eighties F1 car driven by GrandPrix legends Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna has gone on sale.

The machine is the fifth collaboration between McLaren and British-based high end e-scooter maker Pure Electric.

Dubbed the MP4/4, the minimalist vehicle mimics McLaren’s 1988 Formula 1 car design.

It was used that season by eventual champion, Brazilian Senna with Frenchman Prost coming second in the final standings by just three points.

Clad in colour-blocked red and white of the famous car, the slim two-wheeler boasts dual-sided panels for a comfortable stance with self-stabilising handlebars for increased control.

Pure and McLaren’s MP4/4 device features an upgraded 710w motor with a 31-mile range on a single charge.

The compact scooter is foldable for easy storage and carrying.

A Pure spokesperson said: “Recognised as one of McLaren’s most successful F1 cars, the MP4/4 e-scooter combines state-of-the-art technology with a speedy on-road feel. “

The machine is available for sale on Pure’s website for £999 GBP / €1.160 euros.

An officer chair inspired by and dedicated to the late Brazil-born Grand Prix legend Ayrton Senna has gone on sale — for $36,000 USD .

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer Executive Jets has created the Senna Cockpit.

The high-tech chair was under development for two-and-a-half years and is a collaboration between Senna Brands, Embraer Executive Jets, and aerospace machining and fabrication company Metalcrafters Transparencies and Composites.

The Senna Cockpit weighs 36 kilos and has a back that can be raised or lowered ralong the carbon-fibre spine.

The chair’s articulation moves side to side, forward and aft, or rotates 360 degrees, almost as though floating.

This is achieved with a mechanism similar to that employed for the seating of Embraer’s Phenom 300E business jet.

All exposed structural components are fabricated from machined aluminium and carbon fibre.
