COMMANDS TO ASSAIL SNOWDON .
Marine Mountaineers who will spend their weekends scaling Snowdon, North Wales peak (3, 560-feet), spent today checking the equipment at the Finsbury barracks in city Road, London.
The men are members of Britain's only volunteer commando units, the Royal Marine forces volunteer reserve (city of London). The party is composed of four officers and six other ranks. Three of the officers served in the Royal Marine commando during the war, the fourth was in an army commando unit.
Climbing Snowdon is part of their official training.They will walk from Bangor feeding where they can, and sleeping rough.
