    DROUGHT - MOGADISHU
Children who are suffering from measles lie on the floor of their make shift shetlers in the Wardhiglay area of Mogadishu, Somalia, on the 26th July, 2011. Hundreds of children who have come to Mogadishu with their parents in search of food have contracted measles since arriving. UNICEF have launched a vaccination campaign this week in districts throughout Mogadishu to combat the infection. The UN says East Africa is experiencing the worst drought in 60 years, with more than 10 million people threatened by starvation because of a lack of rain and the failure of government to adequately finance agriculture and irrigation schemes. Somalia is hardest hit with the UN declaring famine in its' Bakool and Lower Shabelle regions with at least six out of 10,000 Children dying every day.
