The UK High Court has confirmed that a public hearing will take place on 20-21 February 2024. The two-day hearing may be the final chance for Julian Assange to prevent his extradition to the United States. If extradited, Assange faces a sentence of 175 years for exposing war crimes committed by the United States in the Afghan and Iraq wars.

A giant mosaic commissioned by John Lennon at the height of Sixties Beatlemania for his private swimming pool is being offered at auction.
It features a psychedelic eye staring unblinking at anyone using the pool which was in the grounds of the then 24-year-old Lennon’s detached property in Kenwood , Surrey, on the outskirts of London.
He lived there t the time with first wife Cynthia and son Julian.
It is made up of approximately 17,000 tiles created by a master tiler named Joseph Ritrovato.
He single-handedly installed the work, measuring 475 cm by 155 cm , on the deep-end wall of Lennon's pool in 1965.
John owned Kenwood from July 1964 to late spring 1968.
The mosaic remained in situ until 1984, when it was removed from the pool wall for preservation by the then-owners of Kenwood to be available for public exhibition.
The mosaic first went on public display at The International Garden Festival at the Royal Festival Gardens in the Beatles home city of Liverpool from 1985 until its closure in 1987
It remained on the site until 2002, when it was moved to The Museum of Liverpool Life.
It is being auctioned by London saleroom Bonhams as part of its Rock, Pop & Film sale on November 29 November.
