'It's A Girl': Medium Claims To Know Sex of Royal Baby From Princess Diana

A medium, who once appeared on GMTV with Lorraine Kelly, has claimed she can see and speak to Princess Diana who has told her the royal baby will be a girl.

Carolina Bruce from Knaresborough in North Yorkshire regularly communicates with the late Princess who has allegedly appeared declaring to be back in the form of an archangel - someone who's lived on Earth and crossed over.

During one of her many conversations with the Princess of Wales, Carolina has claimed the spirit of Diana envisaged her grandchild will also be born on her birthday - July 1st.

Even though the 56-year-old has said she believes the baby will be a girl by spiritual rights, a phrase describing God's decision, she doesn't know whether the world will accept another female like Diana, declaring 'the world crucified her like Jesus Christ'.

The mum-of-two said she began talking with Diana soon after her tragic death in 1997 and even sold her 400-year-old chocolate-box cottage when she received a message in the middle of the night from Diana telling her to move house.

With little hesitation Carolina put her house on the market and waited for the next sign from Princess Diana.

A few weeks later the cottage had sold but Diana still hadn't told Carolina where to go.

"I thought I had got the message wrong," explained Carolina.

However, the message finally came in the form of a glowing house.

Carolina explained: "I was mediating in a cemetery one day when I noticed that the h...

First built for the Royal Canadian Navy in 1943 as a river frigate called HMCS Stormont, Christina O took part in the second world war as part of the convoy that protected allied merchant ships in the Battle of the Atlantic and she was present during the D-Day landings serving off Juno beach. She is now one of the only surviving World War II ships that is still sailing. Aristotle Onassis bought the ship in 1954 and named it Christina O after his daughter. 'I'm going to be a Dad' - Photos of Relatives Priceless Reactions
This collection of photographs shows a man's family and friends reacting to news that he is going to be a Dad.

Tom Robinson, 30, is a self-confessed gossip. He can't keep a secret to himself so when he found out his wife was pregnant he couldn't even wait until the three month scan before he told people.

After a couple of weeks he broke the news to his boss, which was received by a priceless reaction.

Instantly the London-based photographer knew he had to capture the reactions of his close family and friends and document it in a photo album.

He explained: "Verity and I hadn't been trying for a baby and I was 29, which for London is fairly young to have a child, so I knew I'd get some good reactions."

Tom and his wife then continued to tell their close relatives and friends their good news, all of it caught on camera.

His favourite reaction was from his parents: "They had just brought a new campervan and were very eager to give us a guided tour," explained Tom.

"I said I would take a quick photo of them sitting in the back and then told them our good news.

"My mum was so shocked she let out a little scream."

Another reaction that will stay in Tom's memory is that of his old school friend Pete.

"When I told him he just stared at me for ages with a bemused look on his face and then eventually brought a bottle of champagne to celebrate."

Other highlights in the photo album are the reactions of their closest group of friends who were told while in an Indian restaurant; Verity's brothers who turned away from their video game for a second to register the news then carried on playing and Harwin, Tom's old work colleague who looked at him in disgust.

They like to nest in garden hedges and bushes, which as the weather turns in Spring are attacked by gardeners which often leads to the birds being disturbed. Of all the bird species bought into rescue centres, blackbirds are one of the most common. They are inquisitive, yet calm birds though and do not mind being photographed.

An adorable project shows the baby birds of Britain in the first days of their lives.

Wildlife photographer Gavin Parsons has worked closely with UK rescue centres to capture chicks bought in for care.

He has spent the last three years photographing some of the baby birds bought into Folly Wildlife Rescue in Sussex and the RSPCA Wildlife Rescue Centre West Hatch in Somerset.

Each year hundreds of hatchlings are bought to rescue centres either after their nests have been disturbed or when they have been mistakenly picked up by well-meaning members of the public after they have fledged.

    A Hard Day's Swipe
A toilet roll rejected by The Beatles as being too "hard and shiny" could sell for GBP 1,000 a sheet.

Proving that even the world's most famous band was not adverse to the odd 'diva strop', the rock legends rejected the roll while recording their world famous Abbey Road album.

It was deemed to be too "hard and shiny" and the band was also unhappy with the fact it had EMI stamped on every sheet.

Beatles fan Barry Thomas snapped up the toilet roll for GBP 85 at an auction in 1980.

It came complete with a jokey letter of authentication by EMI manager Ken Townsend.

The letter, signed by Townsend, reads: "Most things went very smoothly with the Beatles at Abbey Road - but not this roll of toilet paper which they complained was too hard and shiny.

"They thought it disgraceful that the management should stamp each sheet of paper with EMI Ltd. The paper was immediately withdrawn and things became much smoother for staff after that."

Experts have told Barry it is impossible to price such an odd object - but he has since been offered 1,000 just for ONE sheet.

Barry, 66, said: "I went along to the auction as I was a Beatles fan, I mean who couldn't be?

"I saw the roll and I just loved it, it seemed like such an original and unique thing to have.

"People have the memories and the signed records and pictures and stuff, but no one else can say they have a toilet roll John Lennon rejected.

"It wasn't the only thing John specifically complained about in the studios, he also hated the lock on the freezer, so he had a few odd hates.

"At the time it caused a load of interest, the trade for band memorabilia hadn't taken off then like it has today, even ABC from America wanted to interview me there and then at the auction.

"They asked me why I bought it and I didn't know what to...

    Betty the Bald Hedgehog
A rescued baby hedgehog will never be able to attract a mate because of a mystery skin condition which has left her completely bald and without spines.
Betty was abandoned by her family before she was found by a member of the public and handed in to staff at an animal rescue centre.
Animal experts are baffled by her mystery skin condition, which has caused the lonely hedgehog's skin to become dry and left her without any spines.

Six-week-old Betty is now so scared of other hedgehogs that staff at the animal sanctuary believe she will never find a mate.
However, she cannot be returned to the wild because her lack

Tonia and John Garner, 47 and 52, who run Foxy Lodge rescue centre, near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, revealed Betty will endure a lonely life unless her spines return.
Mum-of-one Tonia said: 'She's healthy and everything is absolutely fine apart from she doesn't have any spines.

'It's very sad because she cannot protect herself. She rolls up in a little ball but because she doesn't have the spines she is easy meat for any predator.
'We won't let Betty be with alone with the males. She is very frightened of being near other hedgehogs and any offspring could have the same genetic condition.
'We keep her alone in an enclosure indoors and I mix almond oil and tea tree oil to put on her back sometimes because her skin can get very dry.

Small enough to be used legally on the pavement or inside a shop, the GBP 5,500 QTvan is so named because it caters to three peculiarly British obsessions: caravans; queuing and tea. The tiny caravan is ideally suited to queuing overnight for the sales or tickets for Wimbledon fortnight, and boasts tea-making facilities to make any long wait bearable.According to the Environmental Transport Association (ETA), the QTvan is ideal for the estimated 220,000 people who use a mobility scooter without breakdown cover, and who face the prospect of a very long wait should they suffer a mechanical fault or their battery runs flat. Spokesman for the ETA, Yannick Read, said: (FOTO:DUKAS/REX)

Cheer Up Cheerio The Elephant Seal
CHEER UP CHEERIO THE ELEPHANT SEAL

Weighing just 100 lbs, and with a chunk missing from her fin, this Elephant Seal looks more than a little worse for wear.

Named Cheerio, this eleven month old seal was found stranded on California's Newport Beach on Friday (2 Oct) after going without food for several weeks.

But thanks to the rescue efforts of the Laguna Beach Pacific Marine Mammal Center, Cheerio is expected to be fighting fit in just a couple of months.

Vet Richard Evans explained that because of climate change more and more fish are moving further out to sea.

While it might mean more exercise for the fish , it's bad news for young seals like Cheerio who aren't yet strong enough to swim that far.

'Elephant Seals are smart,' Mr Evans explained. 'They have a way of looking at you and knowing exactly what you're thinking, but climate change could have a devastating effect on the population if the seals keep starving.'

Poor Cheerio who is 60lbs underweight, molting and malnourished, needed special care straightaway. Together with vet, Richard, staff at the centre gave Cheerio a nice warm shower to warm her up, before gently towelling her dry.

Then she was given a special formula through a tube to help make her feel more like her old self, before finally being given a thorough medical check and a soft blanket to cuddle up to.

As soon as the vet declares her fit in a few months, Cheerio will be released back into the wild. Judging by the way she's already splashing about with a new friend in the Marine Center pool, it shouldn't be too long before she's flipping her way through the sea.

The 23-year-old plans to moor his new 90ft ride in Monaco, where he can soak up the rays with Pussycat Doll girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger, 29.

Lewis has even had it painted black and silver to represent his team, McLaren, with whom he has a five-year racing contract worth GBP 70m.

The yacht, boasting luxury cabins, lounges, plasma TVs and a hi-fi system, is being finished at the Sunseeker's Yard in Portland, Dorset, before it is transported to the Mediterranean.
