CANADA'S ' HOODED TERROR ' WINS BY FIRST ROUND K.O.

Earl Walls, the Cherokee ' Hooded Terror', kept up a tribal legend and evidently appeeased the war gods-he knocked out the Austrian, Kurt Schiehl , in the first round of their ten-rounds heavyweight match at the Empress Hall, Earl's court, London, today.
Walls, a Canadian, kept his head and face covered until the fight began-the Cherokee legend says a warrior should not uncover his face before battle for to do so invites defeat.
The crowd roared when Walls, dressing gown flapping around his head, tore down the gangway to enter the ring.
