Sunday Pub Team Take On Bulgarian Prime Minister
A Sunday football team from Nottingham received the shock of their lives during a boozy tour to Bulgaria.
The team, who normally play in the East Midlands Public Authorities League, arrived for a friendly against Bulgarian 3rd division side Vitosha and saw their opponents had brought along a special guest player: Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.
The premier had heard that an English side had arrived in the country to play and the football-mad leader insisted on coming along to play up front.
The 51-year-old, pot-bellied Prime Minister likes to turn out for his home side for the odd match or two, so he arrived along with TV crews, armed security personnel, a sizeable crowd and a representative from the British embassy.
The game ended up as a resounding but controversial 6-0 victory for Vitosha.
Borisov won one of 3 penalties given against the tourists, despite it being a blatant dive following a crunching tackle by red-haired defender / IT worker, Aaron Cottrell, who now has something to brag about in the pub back home.
Mr Borisov has promised to fly his team to Britain for a re-match next year.

PEOPLE - Royal Verlobung: Das Nottingham Cottage das künftige Heim von Meghan und Harry
Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rex Features ( 623801q )
Royal Newlyweds Move Into Palace 'Starter Home'
A two bedroom cosy cottage is just the type of starter home that's perfect for a pair of newlyweds.
And that's exactly what Prince William and his new wife Catherine have got - set in the lavish splendour of Kensington Palace.
Until recently the couple was sharing living quarters with Prince Harry at Clarence House.
However, they have now set up home in Nottingham Cottage, which was previously occupied by Princess Diana's sister Lady Jane Fellowes and her husband.
The plan is for William and Catherine to use the cottage at weekends while they are in London.
In the meantime they continue to look for a more permanent base in the capital.
And if rumours are true they won't have far to move as they are said to be considering Apartment 1a in Kensington Palace.
This luxurious 19-room suite was once home to the late Princess Margaret but currently acts as exhibition space and offices for the Historic Royal Palaces.
If the couple do decided to set up home there it will be returned to the Royal Household.
William and Catherine also rent a farmhouse near to RAF Anglesey where William is based.
