High-Flyers Can Travel To Work On Flying Bike
    ***VIDEO AVAILABLE***

It's a bird! It's a plane! No. The extraterrestrial-looking object in actual fact is a flying bicycle.

British designers, Yannick Read and John Foden, have today revealed the ultimate bicycle; a bike that transforms into an easy-to-operate aircraft requiring no licence to fly and capable of altitudes of up to 4,000ft.

They claim the XploreAir X1 is the world's first flying bike and is set to revolutionise the way we travel for work, leisure and adventure.

Promising commuters' traffic jams and parking fines are a thing of the past.

It takes off from any open space and once airborne it flies at 25mph for up to three hours at a time, powered by a biofuel 249cc motor and parachute.

    Goldfinger Would be Jealous
    GOLDFINGER WOULD BE JEALOUS

Here's a car that would turn Goldfinger rusty with jealousy!

To celebrate the release of the latest James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, a firm has covered an Aston Martin DB7 in real gold, platinum and diamonds.

The eye-catching vehicle is worth GBP 500,000 thanks to it's precious paint job, with real 24-carat gold leaf being applied by London-based company Alchemist.

The bumper is coated in platinum, while diamonds are forever thanks to seven precious stones set into the bonnet.

The flashy car is actually owned by Italian prince Francesco Ruspoli, and will be displayed at the MPH motor show this Friday before being auctioned for charity.

Company owner Jacques Blanc, who usually only applies gold-leaf to car roofs, says: "This is the first time we have completely covered a car in gold-leaf and precious metals, but it is our most eye-catching creation so far.

"Last week I actually drove the Aston from Rome to London, via Paris, and it turned everyone's heads. It is perfect for James Bond on his day off but may not be good for his undercover missions."

In fact, Daniel Craig was going to drive the car to the Quantum of Solace premiere in Leicester Square on Wednesday but it was decided that the glittering motor was probably too conspicuous for a real secret agent.

Jacques says: "Gold-leafing vehicles isn't a new luxury. The Egyptians mastered the technique more than 3000 years ago and Tutankhamun's chariot was decorated with gold leaves. We are simply continuing this ancient and opulent tradition."
