Brexit: Anger over government's failure to get Norway fishing deal
Fishing crews have been "disastrously let down" by the government's failure to reach a deal with Norway, UK Fisheries chief executive has said. UK fleets will not have access to Norway's sub-Arctic seas, following the breakdown of UK-Norway negotiations. The UK's departure from the EU means it is no longer part of the European Common Fisheries Policy and instead negotiates with Norway directly over fishing catches.

Chinese vessels detained by Vanuatu, accused of fishing illegally. Crew on two vessels face further investigation in Pacific nation, a month after similar incident in Palau
A pair of Chinese fishing vessels are berthed at an unused wharf in Port Vila as Vanuatu authorities consider their next steps. The crew will be quarantined before they can be released.
Two Chinese fishing vessels have been detained by Vanuatu authorities amid allegations they were fishing illegally in the Pacific nationÕs territorial waters.
This is the first time that Chinese vessels have been accused of illegal fishing activities in VanuatuÕs territory, but their confinement comes just a month after Palau detained a Chinese-flagged vessel reportedly illegally harvesting sea cucumber, or beche-de-mer, in the western Pacific stateÕs territorial waters.
