On Saturday evening at approximately 10:08 PM, in the vicinity of Oceania Street and 48th Avenue in Bayside, Queens, New York, police respond to a 911 call of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, police observe a 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his chest and a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head. EMS responds and transports both individuals to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital where they are pronounced dead. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
