*** Linlithgow Palace looks over a bright field of sunflowers at GrowWild Organic farm in Linlithgow, West Lothian planted by Lindsay Cadell Girvan and her husband Ben Cadell. See CENTRE PRESS story CPSUNFLOWER. These are the breathtaking pictures of a field filled with more than 200,000 sunflowers. The stunning field in Linlithgow, West Lothian, is run by husband and wife team Ben Cadell, 46, and Lindsay Cadell Girvan, 54. The 200,000 flowers, which were planted in May, will provide feed for bees and insects and are said to put nutrients back into the soil. Lindsay who owns Grown Wild, which distributes organic food, said she was almost brought to tears when she saw the beautiful flowers. *** Local Caption *** 27289037

    [?Owls Play Role In Conservation
Hoot, Yasmin and Jurudi are more than just cute, fluffy faces — they have an important role in conservation and education. The five-week-old barn owls were bred at Sydney private sanctuary Feathered Friends, where they are being hand-fed chopped-up mice and rats every few hours. But in just two months they will start flying within the safety of the sanctuary, and by 16 to 20 weeks they will be fully trained free-flyers. Trainer Ravi Wasan said the trio will play an important role in promoting the conservation of native birds of prey. “We’ll take them to schools and into classrooms and kids will learn about them, how they fly, think, look and about how to conserve them,” he said. The birds will also form part of the Hawkers Experience which “takes people with no relationship with these birds and introduces them so they connect with and understand, them, then spread the word”. “These particular barn owls have a great career ahead of them,” Mr Wasan said.] (FOTO: DUKAS/ACTIONPRESS) *** Local Caption *** 22602052

***One of the world¿s rarest turtles has hatched at Bristol Zoo Gardens. This tiny, six-week-old Vietnamese box turtle weighs just 14.6g and is around the size of a matchbox. The turtle is so precious that it is being kept off-show, in a climate-controlled quarantine room. Once old enough it will join the six adult box turtles in the custom-built Asian turtle breeding room in Bristol Zoo¿s Reptile House. It hatched after being kept at a constant temperature in an incubator for 85 days. Tim Skelton, curator of reptiles, has cared for turtles for over 40 years. He said: ¿This is a very difficult species to breed so I am thrilled with the arrival of this baby; it comes after a lot of hard work.*** (FOTO: DUKAS/ACTIONPRESS)
