Arcade video games have been turned into classical-themed works of art — with custom built marble casings.

The range, called Arcadia, features some of the video games world’s most iconic characters like the Super Mario Brothers , Sonic the Hedgehog and the creayure from the movie Alien

All have been given a classic renaissance style depiction on the heavyweight units, which weigh 300 kg, priced around $100,000 USD / €92.860 euros each.

And anyone who wants one will have to wait a year for the hand crafted working cabinet, complete with high res LCD screen joystick controls and games, to be built.

The cabinet is the work of a France-based artist Harold Sangouard who uses the name Harow.

Marble Arch Mound. Cumberland Gate, London
Marble Arch Mound. Cumberland Gate, London, Great Britain, 30th July 2021. The £2 million Marble Arch Mound has been widely criticised with Westminster City Council forced to suspend booking and issue visitors refunds. Studio MVRDV admitted that the attraction near the Oxford Street shopping destination opened before it was fully complete. Built alongside Marble Arch, which was designed by architect John Nash in 1872, the attraction was created to encourage people to visit Oxford Street following the end of coronavirus restrictions in the UK. Westminster Council intends to reopen booking in the near future once the planting has been improved.
