It is a great place to lay your (s)head....

Adventurous Brits can now book the ultimate ?Shedcation? thanks to a collaboration between Airbnb and the 2016 Shed of the Year sponsors Cuprinol.

To launch the annual Shed of the Year competition, Brits are being given the chance to book their very own ?shedcation? at some of the UK?s most spectacular sheds.

The shed ?wishlist?, which has been curated by founder of Cuprinol?s Shed of the Year, Uncle Wilco, is encouraging people to book a stay at a number of sheds through the Airbnb website.

The wishlist is made up of previous Shed of the Year finalists as well as some new hopefuls taking part in this year?s competition.

Chester Zoo unveils new home for endangered primates, Chester, Cheshire, Britain - 24 Jan 2016

Chester Zoo has unveiled a new home for some of the world?s most endangered primates.

The (3,607m sq) exhibit, part of 'Islands', the UK?s biggest ever zoological development, has been designed by the zoo?s primate keepers, conservationists and specialist architects from Germany. It is the new playground for the zoo?s group of seven Sumatran orangutans and three silvery gibbons ? including a 12-day-old newborn.

Conservation experts estimate that fewer than 6,500 Sumatran orangutans and less than 4,500 silvery gibbons are left in the wild. The zoo hopes the new area will put a major spotlight on issues such as habitat destruction, a threat which is pushing both species to the very edge of extinction.

Why did the sloth cross the road? Well...it didn't quite make it across.

The adorable sloth only made it half way and has been pictured clinging onto a post in the middle of a road in Los Rios, Ecuador.

Officers from the Comisión de Tránsito del Ecuador were quick to the scene and the heart-warming pictures show the sloth being rescued.

Sloths are known to be the world's slowest creature, so it must have been caught-out whilst trying to cross the road.

Red Squirrels in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland - 10 Nov 2015
Wildlife photographer Drew Buckley captured these cute and characterful 'wee Reds' on a recent trip north to Scotland. Red Squirrels are native to our British woodland and Scotland's Caledonia forest is one of their last strongholds. For the past 50 years the red squirrel population has been decimated by its cousin the grey squirrel. Once numbering in their millions, today there are believed to be just 120,000 left in the UK - though recent research has suggested that they are starting to stage a comeback. Venturing into their territory, Drew was able capture the species preparing themselves for the winter. Blending in with the autumnal scenes around them, these busy squirrels are seen foraging for food to help get them through the cold months.

An artist has turned peanuts into amazing celebrity caricatures and animals by using 'nut art'.

Ohio-based artist Steve Casino paints 'insanely' tiny portraits on peanuts.

In the photos famous peanuts can be seen, including a Breaking Bad inspired Walter White peanut, a Taylor Swift peanut and an Iron Man peanut.

Meanwhile, other photos show cleverly painted peanut dogs, pieces of sushi and hotdogs.

Photographer Valerio Berdini spent days walking the streets of Lisbon, trying to put into pictures the most peculiar of Portuguese feelings: 'Saudade'.

Saudade is a Portuguese word that has no direct translation in English.

It describes a deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves. Moreover, it often carries a repressed knowledge that the object of longing may never return.

The Mustang being lifted by crane
Ford Mustang car lifted onto rooftop, Sydney, Australia - 28 Dec 2014
Launched skyward in the early hours of the morning by crane, this 5.0 litre, V8, GT convertible Mustang ascended a Sydney high-rise building next to the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge to prepare for a breathtaking view of one of the world's most iconic New Year's Eve events. This caps a history-making year in which the Mustang also scaled the Empire State Building and Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest skyscraper in Dubai, to celebrate the iconic pony car's 50th Anniversary. The all-new 2015 Mustang is marking Ford's transformation in Australia and leading a wave of stylish, innovative new products by taking centre stage at Sydney New Year's Eve. As a new associate partner to the City of Sydney, Ford Australia also will host the event's first-ever New Year's Eve soundtrack by broadcasting music - including live performances featuring hit German folk/rock duo Milky Chance - to key harbour-side locations

This is the dramatic moment a motorcycle drag racer had an incredible high-speed death-defying escape after clinging onto the back of his competitor's bike at almost 200mph. Greek racer Filippos Papfilippou narrowly escaped a fatal accident when he was catapulted off his bike and landed on the metal wheelie bars of the motorcycle in front of him. Thousands of spectators watched in horror as Papafilippou crossed the dragstrip's centre line and collided with British Top Fuel Bike opponent Steve Woollatt in the adjacent lane. Papafilippou, known as "Fast Fil" was thrown off his bike, but amazingly landed on the metal wheelie bars, which extend behind Woollatt's machine. He miraculously got his foot caught under the wheelie bar in a horrifying tangle as Woollatt's motorcycle hurtled 180 metres down the track at 170mph. But incredibly the Greek racer managed to avoid certain death by clinging for his life onto the back of the bike.
