Lemn Sissay MBE is a British author and broadcaster. Photographed in Canterbury Cathedral, UK. Sissay finally won his redress case against Wigan council for his childhood in care. It took him 25 years to get hold of his files in order to chase his heritage after being taken into social care and becoming permanently fostered by a white family of devout Christians.
