A poop-shaped home ornament which can be used to disperse air freshening scents or used as a candy container is no joke — after raising more than €1.500 euros on a crowdfunding site.
The emoji-like accessory called Unterior Is designed to hold air fresheners and has a lid for easy refill replacement.
The name is a combination of the Japanese word "unko" for poop and English word "interior".
But the Japanese company behind it, novelty manufacturer Beams also reckons it makes a great sweet dish or used as an outside camping light with a candle in it.
The Unterior is 13 cm high and 14 cm wide available in a choice of brass stainless steel and resin.
It is being sold on Japanese crowdfunding site Makuake where the 150,000 yen / €900 euros target hit 258,700 yen / €1.577 euros with days still to go.
The brass and steel versions, costing 28,000 Yen / €170 euros and 18,700 Yen / €114 euros respectively, were made for Beams by high end metal casting company Castem.
The resin version is 14,000 yen / €85 euros.
A Beams spokesperson said: “Even though it's poop, it smells good !”

A new smart bathroom seat can make any toilet also function as a bidet — at a price.
It can even be voice controlled using Amazon’s Alexa or Google Home.
The voice assistants can turn on the bidet spray, warm air dryer and UV cleaning on command.
If there’s no space in a bathroom for a toilet and bidet, the new seat , by US luxury bathroom fittings company Kohler, is a must have for the home
The PureWash E930 seat is heated and has a slim, low-profile design which maker Kohler says is made to fit most elongated toilets.
At a US price of $2,149 USD / €1.960 euros it isn’t cheap but saves money and installation fees compared to full-on smart toilets in the company range which start at $8,000 USD / €7.300 euros..

A company preparing to take tourists to the edge of space via a balloon have revealed details of the on-board bathroom and other passenger facilities.
US-based Space Perspective has designed a luxuriously appointed private bathroom with too window views.
The space tourism company has sold more than 1,600 tickets costing $125,000 USD each for its flights which are due to commence in 2024.
Passengers will sit in a richly appointed pressurised capsule named Neptune which will be harnessed to a huge balloon
The bathroom with toilet, sink, and view was inspired by the idea of a “space spa.”
With the toilet seat down, there is a comfy cushion so people can go into the smallest room just to be with their thoughts alone.
Unlike other space tourism experiences using rockets, the ride on board Neptune is six hours long, so the bathroom is deemed a necessity.
The bathroom’s windows can be closed off, aimed at those passengers who may be nervous of heights and having space views in their peripheral vision.
The balloon will ascend to an altitude of 30 kilometres giving those on board 360-degree views of Earth’s curvature and the blackness of space, with visibility extending up to 724 km in any direction.
Spaceship Neptune does not reach space which begins at an altitude of 100 km.

'We were born here': Ukrainians in frontline towns face painful choice
Brutal Russian onslaught in east Ukraine continues, forcing people to flee to unknown areas or risk death by staying.
As the war comes up to the six-month mark, attention has shifted to the southern front, and hopes for a Ukrainian counteroffensive. But in the east the Russian onslaught continues, forcing the remaining residents to either flee to an unfamiliar setting or risk death by staying at home.
For now, the new Ukrainian line in Donbas is holding, following last month's retreat from Lysychansk. But Russian missiles strike repeatedly, into military positions and towns and cities such as Kramatorsk, up to 20 miles behind the front, part of a merciless bombing campaign that frequently and pointlessly strikes residential areas. Most days several civilians are killed and homes are destroyed.
This is a general overview of Valentina's bathroom photographed on Wednesday, Aug 17, 2022. An ongoing Russian bombardment campaign targeted southwestern Kramatorsk on Friday, Aug 12, 2022. It is the house of Valentina, a 75 years old Ukrainian woman that is a mother to a son she mentioned. "It was six pm, and I was staying outside to freshen up, and then it just happened" I can't remember anything further, she added. It appears that she's mentally and emotionally disturbed; stitches and traces of shrapnel wounds are apparent on her face, arms and legs as she cries, telling us her story and showing us around the only property she owned turned into ruins the moment Russians sent a missile to her backyard.
