PORTSMOUTH'S NEW BISHOP ENTHRONED
The new Bishop of Portsmouth , the Right Reverend W.L.S. Fleming , was enthroned at Portsmouth Cathedral .
The new Bishop , Scientists, theologian, Dean of Trinity, Cambridge, served with the Graham land expedition as Padre and geologist from 1934-37 and saw active service with the Royal Navy in the last war. He helped coach this year's Cambridge boat race crew.

NEW BISHOP INDUCTED AT SOUTHWARK
In a solemn ceremony, Dr Geoffrey Fisher, and the Bishop of Canterbury, inducted three new bishops at Southwark Cathedral, South London, today.
One of them, the Reverend R.N. Shapely, became bishop of the Windward Islands and leaves soon to take up his post.
His whole career has now been spent among service men, until his retirement from the Royal Air Force-in which he was assisted chaplain-in-chief-two years ago.
The reverend to W.L.S. Fleming, scientist theologian, Dean of Trinity, Cambridge, became Bishop of Portsmouth. He served with the Graham land exhibition as Padre and geologist from 1934 to 1937 and saw active service with the Royal Navy in the last war.
He helped coach this year's Cambridge boat race crew.
The new suffragan Bishop of Grantham is Canon Anthony Otter, rector of Lowdham, Nottinghamshire, and rural Dean of Gedling. He is a broadcaster and author.
